Renovation Zora offers a wide range of services to his residential, commercial and institutional clients

Salim Velji learned his trade in England where he was employed by a large building maintenance firm. The training was intense, thorough and broadly based.

“We were exposed to every type of renovation and repair problem you can imagine”, says Velji, “the clients were important and the work had to be done right.”

By the time Velji immigrated to Canada he had several years of experience under his belt. In 1982 he started his own construction and renovation company “Renovation Zora” in Montreal.

From the beginning Renovation Zora offered a broad range of services from complete remodelling and renovation of kitchens, bathrooms, basements to small home repairs. The jobs included all of the trades such as plumbing, electrical, painting, flooring, etc. They also offer a full 24-hour disaster recovery renovation and fire and flood restoration.

In addition to the many residential projects they also handle major commercial and institutional clients such as the American Consulate, Citi Financial, Revera Retirement Residences and other corporate clients.

Client Philip Napier, of the property management firm J.H.H. International, who has used Renovation Zora for about thirty years, had this to say:

“I like them because Salim himself is involved on the job. He is totally reliable and handles whatever arises. The jobs are done on time and on budget.”

Homeowner Daniel Maranger of Montreal had a major kitchen and bathroom renovations plus several other smaller jobs done.

“The training I received in Europe taught me that every job is important” says Velji. “When you treat a small project with the same respect as a large one, people appreciate that kind of attitude, and small jobs lead to big jobs because of it. Every contract is important. I hire only competent workers. I personally oversee every project and work closely with the crews and with the client. We follow the time schedule and we work within the agreed budget.”
